Shoshana Wahab

My parents Malka (Saida) and Issachar (Shukar) Wahab emigrated from Yemen to Israel in 1949. Shoshana was about a year old when she became ill; in 1951 she was admitted to Tzrifin Hospital, which was then called Sarafand.

My parents were with her, and in the evening they were told to go home and return in the morning. When they came in the morning, the nurse announced to them that Shoshana was dead and buried. They did not permit the parents to see a body or a grave.

In 1967, a draft order arrived at the moshav for Shoshana. My parents have already died and they searched for her until the end of their lives.

I, her sister, hope to find her soon.
