Shalom and Sarah Haddad

My parents Shalom and Sarah Haddad (Salam and Zahara Haddad) came to Israel in the great immigration of 1948-1949. They were placed in Moshav Tarum, near Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh, and later moved to Beit Dagon (Beit Dagan). In the year 1958, in one of the summer months, my mother went to Kaplan hospital to give birth to their third child. She even remembers the hour of the birth (12 at night). Mother remembers that he was healthy, with black hair, and everything was fine. They took him and told her he was dead.

In her later births, my mother was cautious and guarded the children lest they be taken away after birth.

We are six siblings, three daughters and three sons. My father of blessed memory has already passed away, but my mother is still alive and she awaits seeing him before death.
