“We are twelve siblings - one is gone”

My parents emigrated from Yemen in the “Magic carpet”, with three children, the youngest of them Moses who was eight months old. They arrived at the immigrants’ camp of Bayit Leyad. Moses was not feeling well and was taken to hospital. There they told my father to return to camp, and that when the child will be well they will bring him to camp. A few days later my father returned to the hospital and asked where the child was and then he was told the child was sent back to the camp several days ago. My father said that not child arrived at the camp.

For six months my father looked for him in all the immigrant camps in the country, without any results. Over the years nine other children were born, with my father and mother watching over us now as the apple of their eyes. I know of one case where my parents were told of an adopted child in Moshav Hogla called Moses and that his mother name is Rachel. My parents went there but it was a big disappointment, it seemed not to be their lost son. My father has given up at this point. “And Aaron kept silent" he accept the sentence. I went to the “Lost” program and told my story, because I wanted my father to live to see his son before he dies. Unfortunately my father died eight years ago. And now my daughter Revital. She follows this story in Facebook and tells me “father maybe there is still a chance of finding Moses”. Maybe Grandmother will be fortunate enough to find her lost son. My Mother. Approaching the age of 90. Opinionated, independent. Miss my father. And especially Moses.
