Weizmann Baruch

My parents, the late Rina and Nagy Baruch, immigrated to Israel from Iraq in 1951. My older brother Weizmann Baruch was born in 1952. According to my father, the child was sent by a doctor to the HaKirya hospital in Tel Aviv. My father came to the hospital every day and on the third or fourth day, he was told by a hospital nurse that the child had died. They didn’t let my father see the child and bury him. Eighteen years later the boy was sent a draft order. We gave the draft order to my mother’s brother-in-law who was an IDF worker at the Kirya for perusal - no reply was received, and the draft order was not returned to my father.
